Pluuty vs MEE6, Dyno, and Carl-bot for Discord
MEE6, Dyno, and Carl-bot are the names most people reach for first. This comparison is about Discord only: what ships free, what Premium unlocks, and how you actually pay.
All four sell per-server Premium. Pluuty included. You do not buy one Pluuty subscription that covers every server you own. Server Premium is one $4.99/mo slot you assign to one server and can move later.
None of these four currently tax you by member count. The gap is the price of that slot, and how much of the bot stays usable without it.

How Premium actually works
Pluuty. Buy a slot, assign it in Billing → Slots. One active slot per server. Idle slots sit on your account until you pick a server. See why it is $4.99. Raid protection, anti-nuke, music extras, and auto-updating leaderboards need that slot. Core moderation and engagement do not.
MEE6. Premium is sold per Discord server and can be moved to another server. Monthly is €5.99 for the first month, then €11.99. Official comparison (June 2026): XP and Levels, moderation, welcome/goodbye, reaction roles, and custom commands are not on Free. MEE6 AI and MEE6 Pro are separate products, not included. Dyno. Each paid plan is "for one server of your choice." The public page advertises yearly Standard at $49.99 ($4.17/mo billed annually), Premium at $59.99/yr (adds social integrations), and Custom at $99.99/yr (hosted custom bot). Free still includes automod, tickets, starboard, and small caps on commands, reaction-role menus, and giveaways. Levels sit on paid Standard and up. Source: Dyno Premium.
Carl-bot. Premium is a slot per server. Patreon higher tiers add extra slots you can move. A Discord Store subscription covers one server. Official Carl pricing post (June 2025): 1 server $7.99/mo, then $12.99 / $16.99 / $24.99 / $35.99 for 2 / 3 / 5 / 8 servers. Free reaction roles go to 250 (1,000 on Premium). Levels & XP, sticky messages, and voice-role links are Premium. Source: Carl-bot Premium and Patreon price post.
Choose Pluuty when you want
- One app for cases, automod, leveling, welcome, reaction roles, tickets, giveaways, and music
- Leveling and tickets without paying first (MEE6 and Carl gate XP; MEE6 gates most plugins)
- Per-server Premium at $4.99/mo, not €11.99/mo or a $7.99+ Carl slot
- Optional Discord Whitelabel under your own application
Choose another bot when you want
- A specialist your staff already know and do not want to migrate from
- Carl-bot's reaction-role depth, or Dyno's long-running moderation dashboard, in isolation
You can also run Pluuty alongside a specialist if that fits your workflow.
