Best Fluxer moderation bot setup

A solid Fluxer moderation stack needs searchable cases, clear staff permissions, and a points ladder that escalates fairly. Pluuty ships all three on the free tier.

Cases first

Every warn, mute, kick, and ban becomes a numbered case with reason, duration, and moderator. Train staff to always leave a reason. Evidence archives keep deleted messages available when automod or purge removes them.

Native timeouts for mutes

Pluuty mutes use Fluxer timeouts (communication disabled). You do not need a custom muted role. Set default durations under Punishment Defaults.

Infraction points

  1. Enable points under Moderation → Points.
  2. Decide points per warn (default 1) and expiry (default 30 days).
  3. Pick a ladder preset (Lenient, Standard, Strict) or build your own rungs.
  4. Preview what consecutive warns will trigger before you go live.

Staff ranks

Create Helper / Moderator / Senior ranks, link Fluxer roles, and grant only the commands each tier needs. Higher priority wins. The guild owner always has full access.

Appeals

Turn on appeals for mutes and bans, then share the public appeals link when you ban someone. Review the queue from the dashboard.
