How to switch from MEE6 to Pluuty

You can run Pluuty and MEE6 in the same Discord server while you migrate. Do not delete MEE6 on day one. Invite Pluuty, rebuild the modules you actually use, then turn MEE6 plugins off one at a time.

Pluuty is hosted. You add the Discord app and configure it in the dashboard. Leveling, tickets, welcome, and reaction roles are free. MEE6 documents several of those as Premium on its public comparison. Confirm current MEE6 pricing on their site before you decide.

This guide is Discord-only. Fluxer uses prefix commands and modmail instead of slash commands and ticket panels. See getting started on Fluxer if that is your platform.

1. Invite Pluuty

Open https://pluuty.com/invite and add Pluuty to Discord with Administrator so every module can see channels and roles. You can tighten the bot role later.

Sign in to the dashboard with Discord, pick the server, and finish onboarding.

2. Recreate welcome and roles

Rebuild welcome messages and reaction-role menus in Pluuty before you disable MEE6. Members should not lose a welcome channel overnight.

3. Leveling

Pluuty XP is free. You will not import MEE6 numbers one-for-one unless you export them yourself. Set ignored channels, cooldowns, and role rewards so farming does not start on day one. Details: leveling and Discord XP guide.

Tell members the leaderboard resets. That is cheaper than running two XP bots that fight.

4. Staff commands

Train staff on /warn, /mute, and /ban (Discord slash commands). Cases show up in the dashboard. Keep MEE6 mod commands until staff stop using them.

5. Turn MEE6 off in layers

  1. Disable MEE6 leveling
  2. Disable MEE6 welcome
  3. Disable MEE6 reaction roles
  4. Disable MEE6 moderation last, after a quiet week

If something is missing, turn that MEE6 plugin back on. You are not stuck.
